Angela & Daniel | Wallace Falls | Gold Bar, WA

Angela and Daniel’s intimate, thoughtful and waterfall filled wedding? Yeah it was kinda the best. The day began overcast and a little rainy but by the time everyone was ready to make the trek to the ceremony site a beautiful light shone through.

The ceremony was at the Wallace Falls amphitheater by the small falls section of the trail. It’s a secluded enough are that the intimate ceremony stayed that way despite the popularity of the hiking trail. Angela and Daniel’s vows were simple and sweet – and caused more than a few happy tears. And Angela’s brother-in-law did an amazing job officiating (yay for brother-in-law officiants!)

After wrapping up family portraits Angela, Daniel and I headed up to hike our way to Lower Falls. We stopped along the way for some portraits and quite a bit of laughing. We took a breather and photo break at the Lower Falls outlook and quickly headed back down for dinner. Though we did pause for a minute towards the beginning of the trail to do a champagne toast with Mt Index and Baring Mountain as the backdrop. Not going to lie. It was pretty magical with the soft pre sunset light. And the fact that Angela and Daniel were so freaking adorable and giddy made it the perfect combination.

We headed back towards the campsite – the wedding group had rented out the cabins towards the entrance of the park for the entire weekend. Dinner was incredible. Angela’s parents crafted a feast full of salmon, chicken, baked potatoes, and roasted vegetables. Afterwards everyone continued relaxing and celebrating late into the night by the fire.
