Over beers and fries at the Oak on Beacon Hill, Helen and Steven described their wedding day to me. A fiesta inspired evening with a focus on their love and community. I really couldn’t imagine a better wedding day for the two of them. They are gracious, kind and a lot of fun to be around.
Since they both have a love for nature and are hard core urbanites – The Center for Urban Horticulture was the perfect fit for their wedding day. Surrounded by 16 acres of gardens the grounds were a great mix of forest, field and flowers to photograph the entire day.
Following the touching and funny ceremony, cocktail hour was held in the courtyard. While the guests were socializing Helen, Steven and I snuck off to capture some of the amazing evening light. The night concluded with some hilarious and heartfelt toasts by the bridal party. Which was followed by some salsa dancing and smashing of a pinata!
