When we met for coffee to talk about their wedding day plans I knew pretty quickly that Sam and Jude were an amazing fit. One of the first things they spoke of was their desire for the day to revolve around their love and their tight knit community. And with all their closest family and friends joining them for their celebration their wedding day was so much fun to photograph.
The ceremony was thoughtful and hilarious. Sam and Jude’s vows to each other were sweet and funny. The toasts were original and playful. I can say that I have never experienced so much laughter at a wedding. Every single person there was happy, excited and laughing. Every single one.
And their April wedding day went great thanks to the amazing team at Fireseed Catering. Located on Whidbey Island and an hour from Seattle, Fireseed has beautiful grounds. Oh and the food is incredible. And the staff is so friendly. They are one of my favorite venues to photograph at.
Following the outdoor ceremony and cocktail hour the reception kicked off with the best food and toasts. Including a memorable one by Sam’s brother featuring a mini horse! Jude – who is a wonderful musician – also sang to Sam. The night capped off with The Kennedy Brothers singing the night away. And they got everyone on the dance floor.
